Heard & Held
For the woman whose body doesn't fit the textbook, and has been carrying way too much for way too long.
Ninety minutes on Zoom to tell the whole story to someone trained to hear what your body has been saying. Then I teach you gentle, hands-on practices made for your body. You leave knowing your own hands can bring you relief, with recordings to keep forever.
Six spots open each monthYou've done everything you were told to do.
The water, the protein, the electrolytes, the Pilates, the walks with the weighted vest, the earlier bedtime. Your bloodwork came back "normal." Your doctor suggested it might just be your age.
Meanwhile you need to sit down after making dinner. Your jaw aches when you wake up. You are holding a whole household together on fumes, and the person who takes care of everyone has nobody taking care of her.
If you've said any of these to yourself at 2am, I made this for you.
Maybe you're...
Heard & Held welcomes almost any body with almost any ache. These are the women I love working with most.
Bendy and sore everywhere
"I'm hypermobile and everyone keeps telling me to stretch more."
Your body needs steadiness and gentle support. We work slowly, and we never force a thing.
One more thing from burnout
"I'm running on fumes and perimenopause is pouring gas on it."
We find small, doable ways to refill you, starting with the minutes you actually have.
Living with autoimmune or chronic fatigue
"Some days getting off the couch is the whole workout."
Gentle practices to help you feel more settled and supported on hard days, alongside the care you already get.
The mom holding it all
"Everyone gets taken care of except me."
Short practices that fit between school drop-off and dinner, so caring for yourself finally makes the list.
Nervous system completely jacked
"I'm wired and exhausted at the same time, and I can't switch off."
We start with calming your system, because a body that feels safe can finally let go.
Done doubting yourself
"I've been told it's all in my head so many times, I started to believe it."
Your body's signals start to make sense again, and you remember you can trust what you feel.
Aching to be listened to
"I just want one person to hear the whole story."
Ninety minutes of someone fully on your side, with no rushing and no eye-rolling.
Achy for no clear reason
"My tests are normal, so why do I feel like this?"
Your symptoms are information. We get curious about them together.
Your symptoms are data.
Your body has been keeping careful notes this whole time. The wisdom to feel better already lives in you, waiting to be remembered. It just needs someone to slow down long enough to hear it, and a pair of hands to show you where to start.
Heard & Held gives your body that time and those hands. By the end, they're yours, and your body's signals start to make sense to you again.
First, you're heard.
Before we meet, you'll fill out a short intake form so I arrive already knowing the basics. Then we spend the first part of our time on your story: what hurts, when it started, what you've tried, and how you want to feel.
I listen the way I do in my treatment room, for the patterns underneath the symptoms. Bring the weird stuff. Bring the things you stopped mentioning to doctors. Nothing is too small to matter here.
LW, one of my clients, describes a session with me as being wrapped in a warm hug.
That feeling comes from being fully listened to, often for the first time in years. Your nervous system softens. You stop bracing. That softening is where change begins, so we make plenty of room for it.
Then, you're held.
Next I guide your own hands through practices chosen for your body, live, adjusting as we go so you can feel each shift as it happens. These come from years of osteopathic and massage work, translated into gentle techniques you can do at home.
Afterward, you choose the three practices you want to keep. I record each one as its own audio walkthrough, five to ten minutes long, made for you and delivered within seven days. You also keep the full Zoom replay.
So the next time your jaw clenches at your desk or your body won't settle at night, you'll have my voice in your ear and the know-how in your own hands.
Gentle by design.
If your body has been pushed, cracked, stretched or rushed before, you'll feel the difference here.
Never forced
Light, slow techniques that invite your body to soften. Nothing is ever pushed past what feels good.
Steady and supported
For hypermobile bodies, we build a sense of support and stability. You already have plenty of flexibility.
Nervous system first
We begin by helping your system feel safe, because that's when muscles and joints can finally let go.
You're believed
Pain that moves around, fatigue nobody can explain, symptoms that come and go: I take every bit of it seriously.
Simple from the moment you say yes.
Book
Within one business day of checkout, I'll personally email you a few session times to choose from.

That email includes your short intake form. Fill it out at least 48 hours before we meet, so I come prepared.

"A different person leaving than arrived."
Appointments with Carrie are like being wrapped in a warm hug that leaves me feeling relaxed and restored. She is extremely warm and approachable, and is knowledgeable in a wide range of treatments! Her gentle touch is magic at releasing body tension. My one regret is that I didn't start coming to see Carrie for treatment sooner!
LW
Carrie is one of the most beautiful humans I have ever met. I have had 2 sessions with her to date and have witnessed SO MUCH progress in terms of my body working through issues and restoring a better sense of health. Don't hesitate to book a session with her. You won't regret it!
KG
Carrie always improves how I am feeling. Different person leaving the appointment than arrived. My body feels settled and adjusted in ways that are difficult to describe. I always recommend for others to come and see her.

I know this exhaustion from the inside.
At 34, I left my marriage with a six-year-old and three-year-old twins, and went back to school while caring for them nearly full-time. Then COVID closed the schools right as my osteopathic training began, so I studied while homeschooling all three. I graduated at the top of my class, twice.
I did it all, and I felt fine. Until I didn't. Burnout arrived later, without warning, and I realized I had spent years giving clients a level of care I never gave myself.
I know a bendy, hypermobile body from the inside. I know a nervous system stuck on high alert. I also know how it feels to bring a real concern to a practitioner and walk out unbelieved.
So I started treating myself with everything I know. Heard & Held is how I pass that on: the listening I offer in my treatment room, and the hands-on skills to keep caring for yourself long after our call ends.
- Manual Osteopathic Therapist (MOT)
- Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
- Post-secondary instructor in anatomy, physiology and clinical skills
- Founder of Baby Osteo, my Edmonton pediatric practice
Let's make sure it's a fit.
Heard & Held is for you if
- You're carrying aches, tension or tiredness that nobody has fully explained
- You're hypermobile, near burnout, in perimenopause, or living with autoimmune disease or chronic fatigue
- Your nervous system feels stuck on high alert
- You've tried the advice and want someone to actually look at the whole picture
- You're ready to learn to care for your own body with your own hands
- You want a guide who sees you as the smart, capable woman you are
Maybe later if
- You're looking for a diagnosis or medical treatment (your doctor is the right person for those)
- You have new, sudden or severe symptoms (please see a doctor right away)
- You'd prefer in-person treatment (my Edmonton clinic is the right home for that)
Good things to know.
Do I need any experience with bodywork?
None at all. I teach everything step by step, and we go at your pace. Most women are surprised by how natural it feels once their hands are in the right place.
I'm worried I'll do it wrong on my own.
That's exactly why I watch and guide you live, then record your audios afterward. Each walkthrough talks you through every hand position and breath, so you can relax and follow along.
Is this medical care?
No. Heard & Held is an educational self-care session. I do not diagnose any condition, and this session does not replace care from your doctor or any other healthcare provider. Please keep seeing your own providers and follow their advice.
If your intake shows you need in-person or medical care first, we'll talk about it before your session and you'll receive a full refund.
Where do I need to be?
Anywhere with a quiet space and a good internet connection. Sessions are on Zoom, and I'll offer times in your time zone, so you can join from wherever you live.
How do I book my session?
After you pay, I'll email you within one business day with a few times to choose from, plus your intake form. Just reply with the time that suits you best. Six Weeks clients also get the link to our private Telegram chat.
Can I reschedule?
Yes. Reschedule anytime with at least 48 hours' notice. Because your audios are custom work, refunds aren't available once your session has taken place.
Which option should I choose?
The Session is a wonderful way to begin. Six Weeks is my recommendation if you've struggled to stick with things on your own, because the follow-up and voice-message support keep you moving long after our first call.
Is there a payment plan?
Six Weeks can be paid in two payments of $575. The Session is a single payment of $444.
Your body has been asking to be heard for a long time.
Give it ninety minutes of real attention. Leave with the practices to keep listening on your own, and the confidence of a woman becoming the expert on her own body.
Six spots open each month.
Important: Heard & Held is an educational self-care coaching session. It is not medical care, and it is not osteopathic or massage therapy treatment. Carrie does not diagnose or treat any disease or condition through this session. Nothing shared in the session, the replay or the audio walkthroughs replaces advice, diagnosis or treatment from your physician or other qualified healthcare provider. Please talk with your doctor about any medical concerns and before starting new practices, especially if you are pregnant or managing a health condition. In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. Experiences vary from person to person.
