You know this jaw.

  • Your morning starts with an aching jaw, sore teeth, or a headache that showed up before your feet hit the floor.
  • Somewhere between the commute and the inbox, your teeth found each other again.
  • That nightguard on your nightstand protects your enamel. Your jaw still wakes up tired.
  • By dinner, the ache has climbed into your temples, your ears, and the back of your neck.
  • Down below, things feel tight and guarded, and nobody has ever asked about your jaw.
  • Stress, they say. As if you didn't already know.
  • Water, magnesium, the earlier bedtime, the Pilates class. You did all of it, and your body is still braced.

Here's what I see every day in my treatment room. Women who hold the whole household together hold it in their bodies too. The jaw clamps down while you're answering one more question, packing one more lunch, smiling through one more appointment where someone tells you it's probably nothing.

Your body has been bracing for a long time. It learned to do that to keep you going. It can learn to let go too.

Try this right now

Your jaw and your pelvic floor have known each other since you were three weeks old.

Clench your jaw. Notice what happens down below.

At three weeks, an embryo is a tiny flat disc with only two spots where the outer and inner layers touch with nothing in between. The spot at the head end becomes your mouth. The spot at the tail end becomes the openings your pelvic floor wraps around. Same blueprint, opposite ends of the page.

They've been in conversation ever since. When one braces, the other tends to brace with it.

That connection works in your favour. Soften the jaw and the pelvic floor gets the message. You can reach one through the other, gently, from the outside, with your own two hands.

What women are saying

From the comments on my reels

It was “sensitive” when I pulled/rolled my finger over the inside of my jaw. Don't feel the tension in my pelvic floor as bad afterwards.

My right side of the bottom of my mouth has some tender spots and so does the right side of my pelvic floor. Crazy stuff! Thanks for sharing this interesting release.
@dawnkc5
I love seeing this content. I've been dying with pelvic floor issues for 15 years. No one knew anything helpful then.

The way you connect the jaw, tongue and pelvic floor is such an interesting perspective. It really highlights how much more interconnected the body is than we often realize!

UNCLENCH: The Jaw and Pelvis Reset

UNCLENCH is five recorded video practices, most between two and ten minutes. Do them whenever you like: in bed, with your coffee, on your lunch break, or once the kids are asleep. The days alternate between hands-on release and slower listening practices, so your body gets time to settle in between.

The course opens in Kajabi on Monday, October 26 for $55. All five videos live in your library, so you can come back to any practice whenever your jaw starts creeping up again.

01

Vagus Nerve

Hand placement and slow breath that tell your nervous system it's safe to soften. The reset button you'll come back to again and again.

02

Under the Tongue and TMJ Area

Start where the clench begins. Gentle release inside your mouth, plus muscle work that helps your jaw finally let go.

03

Pelvic Release

Treat your pelvis from the outside, with no internal work, so your pelvic floor can soften too.

04

Temporal Bones

Release around the ears and temples, home base for so many clenching headaches.

05

Bring It All Together

Learn how to tune in and choose where to start on your own. Plus a bonus: my favourite sacral rebalance to help your whole body settle.

"I don't have time."
"I never follow through."

I hear both of these constantly, and I built UNCLENCH around them.

Each practice is a few minutes long. Many women do it lying in bed before the house wakes up. All five together ask for less time than one episode of your show.

Every practice is a recorded video, so a busy day simply means you pick it up tomorrow. Go at your own pace and repeat your favourites as often as you like.

Carrie smiling in her treatment room

Hi, I'm Carrie.

I'm a Manual Osteopathic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist, and I teach anatomy and clinical skills at the post-secondary level. My clinic is rated five stars by every client who has reviewed it, and I'm a mom of three.

For years my hands were on everyone else. After my own birth recovery, after pelvic floor physio and more, the piece that finally shifted things for me was my jaw. That's when I started turning my training inward and treating myself with the same care I give my clients.

UNCLENCH is what I do for my own body, taught to you step by step. Your body already knows how to let go. My job is to help you remember.

Questions

Is there any internal pelvic work?

None. We start with your nervous system, move into your mouth, and work our way down, treating the pelvis from the outside.

When does it open?

The UNCLENCH course opens in Kajabi on Monday, October 26. Join the waitlist and you'll hear the moment it's live.

What if I'm busy some days?

Completely fine. Every practice is a recorded video, so you can go at your own pace and come back whenever you need it.

How much is it?

$55 CAD for all five video practices plus the bonus sacral rebalance.

Should I stop wearing my nightguard?

Keep following your dentist's advice. UNCLENCH works alongside it.

Is this medical treatment?

UNCLENCH is an educational, self-care program. It doesn't replace care from your doctor, dentist, or pelvic health physiotherapist. If you notice numbness, weakness, facial drooping, or trouble speaking, seek medical care right away.

Your jaw has done enough holding.

What's included
